Grandpa Jim's GOOD LUCK Rainbow!

May 2nd - For about 4 minutes the most beautiful bright double rainbow appeared above Dad's house moments ago!
The camera did not pick up the true beauty of it, but it still looks gorgeous against the dark sky and very green grass.
 This must be our Nationals rainbow! Last year while at Nationals, Stacey took a photo of a rainbow over Dad's house

Candy Prince visited on Easter Weekend along with her beautiful Axel babies!
The puppies are sired by Ch Thornapple Tandem Axel. Their dam is Ch Thornapple Sweet Magnolia Wine.

Enzo is staying with Candy & Erika at Maplewoods. Erika Prince will handle him at the summer shows.

May 1st *** DOG SHOW NEWS FROM SWEDEN!
Today Miranda and I went to a dog show, it was 27 aussies entered !! Miranda took her second CC
and became BOB and later the same day she became BIG 4 !! The judge LOVED her movements !!!

I did an entry of TRUE for a dog show on Sunday. TRUE was BOB on Sunday.

  
ZIMA did an entry on Saturday on Sunday. ZIMA was group second on group first, the second day on BOB,
the first day for two days.
The handler of ZIMA is Mr. Utumi.  The owner of ZIMA is MR& Mrs. Ishibashi.


The handler of TRUE is Mr. Hiro Mizumoto.

May 2 - NEWS from Jenny & TJ in Germany!
We're back from the Show.
TJ took on Saturday 3'te Place in the class 9-12 months under Breeder judge Heidi Mobley
and on Sunday he took Place 2 under Breeder judge Sandy Reese. On one Photo that's me
with the breeder Judge Heidi Mobley.
The weekend were VERY great!!! We had a lot of fun and a great time on the show.

This week end the 3 May in National of Breed Thornapple Ready Set Go is 2 Excellent in young class
male with M Schlitt (USA judge) (55 inscriptions young males).  I have too the 3 test speciales shepherd
with qualificatif Excellent. CANT (natural test of capacity Sheperd), CSAU (Test of Obedience) and Test of Caractere.

Thornapple Diamonds In The Clouds "Cloud"
Herding News from Betsy in North Dakota!  -- (photos coming)
Thought I would share how I spent this Mother's Day weekend.
I sponsored a herding clinic in preparation for training the weather boys for their next herding test.
This was held at Prairie Rose Farm and Training Center north of Bismarck. These are of Cloud. As you can
see he gets right to the nitty gritty of things. Cloud really turned on on Saturday but not quite as hot on Sunday.
Kind of the opposite of Rain. He was WILD I MEAN WILD on Saturday but gets down to business on Sunday.
I will send a couple of Rain doing FANTASTIC work on Sunday. Thanks for letting me share.
CONGRATULATIONS to Shayna on her excellent awards and the Thornapple wins at Nationals.
Once again Thornapple was highly complimented on the attitude of the boys and their natural working
abilities. This was said by a BC clinician:)))))) She was impressed. YEAH!!!!

The Rain Boy. He takes no snottiness from the sheep. He is VERY ASSERTIVE but does not get too rough.
If they head butt him he gives it right back with zest:))) No intimidating this boy. We also worked goats.
Was a bit different than the sheep. I will see what pictures come yet and see if I have a goat or two.

I just had to share this herding scene. I am soooo proud of Rain. Rain has such drive.
Check out his expression and his command of the sheep. He takes no nonsense from the sheep.

this judge DHR G JIPPING was amazed about his movement and
like him very much here a picture from him but send you more later
on, but I am so proud on him, so I could not wait to tell you this.
We wait with patience for Zyla! Keep us in touch about her.

As you can see, it is mud season here. We had lots of rain yesterday afternoon and more is expected today. (gotta love spring)
June can easily keep up with the boys. She is sure not a dainty flower. She found a lovely muddy spot to dig in this morning after breakfast.
 She also learned to jump on the sofa. Of course it would be the day she was the most muddy. Se was so proud of herself. I was laughing.
There was mud everywhere. She had a bath and is clean and smells nice once again. I will have to send you a photo of our clean little girl.
Cash is doing so well with June. He keeps watch over her and simply loves her to pieces. She naps curled up by him, either between his
paws or with her head resting on him. He also enjoys rolling her in the mud. (lol)

Miss Thornapple Ruby Nani loves her new family!
She is pictured with new best buddy Taggart & held lovingly by Steve!
Gianna is in heaven as well because Ruby is such a contrast to the masculine bounce that Taggert has.
Ruby is gentle, sweet and really fast…  she’s already fetching, she runs the “crazy dog” laps around the living room / kitchen / family room. 
We are so happy to have her in our lives…what a sweet angel she is; and…it helps that she’s a little older than 8 weeks…I think it’s helped her.

NEWS from Sweden!
I have some good news about Kiara - Thornapple Blushin Russian!
First of all, she is Hip scored GOOD (B) and Elbows Normal (0/0)!
Last weekend she did made it thru her Mental Test and passed the shooting-test!!
I am very proud of her!!
I will breed her this spring. Her chosen love will be Damon! Do you think it will be nice puppies?=)
I can't WAIT to have a baby of Kiara!!! Speaking of puppies....I have a LOVELY puppy boy now

News from Maryland! Thornapple Simply Red takes Reserve Winners Bitch!
Scarlet went to her first show this year in Timonium, MD. She showed Sunday and Monday. She got RWB both days!!
On Sunday, it was reserve to a major! On Monday the show was small. I was so proud of her. She was perfect in the ring.
 It must be bred in her! Her coat is getting more thickness to it and she looks real good. I don't have another show planned
right now, but I'll let you know when she shows again. She is just a great dog and so much fun. Thanks, Sue Tearle & Scarlet
