last Challenge Certificate yesterday and can now be known as AM & NZ
Champion
Thornapple Star of Africa. Yes, she is now a champion (subject to
NZKC's ratification) and she also got RBOB behind Zippo -
AM & NZ CH Thornapple Hot
Temptation -
at two of the shows this past weekend. Zippo (Am & NZ Ch Thornapple Hot
Temptation) got BOB at
all 3 shows this past weekend so we had a good weekend all in all. Regards from

Jackson (Jake x
Chante) had a
fantastic day at his first AKC show. At 6 months and 2 days
he took Reserve
Winners Dog to a major. He followed that up with Best of Breed Puppy and then
Herding Puppy
Group Third! Brother Ice had success, there were majors this weekend on the
killer
Texas circuit but he won his class both days with competition and Eileen says he showed
like a dream.
Stacking
and gaiting perfectly, that he really was "on" in the ring. Jake also had a
dynamite weekend.
We finished his Novice FAST (NFP) title yesterday and then today he got 3 out of
3 Qualifying Runs,
with two First place runs (Open Standard and Open Jumpers with Weaves) and an
INCREDIBLE run in
Novice FAST.He was handled in Novice FAST by our great friend Shari Sprague (who
owns Ch. Thornapple
Pure Poison) since her dog Kaya was injured, Jake played "Rent an Agility
Dog"... they were flawless,

Lauren made a new
Valentine's picture for you:)
We got home super late (midnight) from our trip to the Panhandle this weekend.
Erica & D did well taking 2 Best Junior Handler wins & one Reserve Best Junior
win.
Erica handled Ember in Altered Best of Breed & won Best of Breed with her all 3
shows.
Also, came home with a new Elite Gamblers title & racked up a bunch of Q's in
Elite Standard & Jumpers.
I also wanted to share a few photos from Brooksville. Hope all is well!

Show Update from
the FASA show we attended in Tallahassee on Feb 3 & 4th.
Erica & Diesel won Best Junior Handler at both shows under Melissa Gann & Janet
White.
She also won Altered Best of Breed with the super cute Ember at all 3 shows.
You guys will really appreciate this :) While at the FASA show in Tallahassee
last weekend, they
also had a herding trial. Erica gave Diesel a try on the stock & what do you
know ... he was a
natural. The herding judges commented that Diesel could easily get his
started titles. He has
plenty of instinct, drive & is totally gentle which is a huge plus. Who would
think Big D had it

Jim is experiencing a bump in the road. He has started a new
experimental chemo that has produced outstanding results in patients with
Jim's cancer. Jim & his family are very positive about his new treatment.
A pretty Michigan
snowstorm gave Amy the opportunity to snap photos of
Grandpa Jim's prize possession, his collection of antique cars, boats,
dozers,
dump trucks, semi trucks & yes, even old boats!
Jim's family affectionately
calls it "THE LINE!"

trucks, tractors, boats ... you name it! He has it! The best part of the
purchase
is the cross country trip to pick up his prizes. Whether it is brother,
